ANNOUNCING ALUMNI FIELD AT KUTCHER FOUNDATION STADIUM
November 11, 2020
The Kutcher Foundation is proud to announce that construction has begun on a new baseball stadium at The John Carroll School in Harford County, MD. It will be named Alumni Field at Kutcher Foundation Stadium.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 4, at the site of the current John Carroll baseball field in front of the baseball team, school officials, and members of the Kutcher Family, including foundation CEO, John Kutcher, his wife, Susan Weller Kutcher (’85), and their sons, Tim Kutcher (’15), Steven Kutcher (’17), and Joseph Kutcher (’22).
The project is being funded through the largest grant in John Carroll School history and will also include renovations to their innovation center.
“We’re breaking ground not really on a baseball field, but first and foremost, a classroom as I see it,” said Foundation CEO John Kutcher. “There’s a tremendous amount of educational vision behind this.”
The stadium is slated to be ready for the 2021 season with new dugouts, fencing, a removable mound and adjustable bases (which will allow the John Carroll softball team to play here as well). The Kutcher Foundation also sees these areas as a space for additional learning opportunities such as sports journalism/broadcasting, data analysis, computer science, and more.
