The Kutcher Foundation seeks a partnership with HMBL that would allow our league (as a group) to build a baseball oriented local program that we design and administer to impact youth in a positive way. The Kutcher Foundation presents the John Simpers Award annually at the HMBL bull roast each March, and has recently recognized HMBL veteran umpire Robert Riale and HMBL leader Matt Miller, as recipients.
The Foundation would
provide some matching funds giving a financial multiplying effect of
whatever we contribute. And we would be
doing something that otherwise wouldn’t be happening (as opposed to providing
funds to other worthwhile programs that already are happening).
Our long term goal with the Kutcher Foundation is to
create a difference in our community.
The funds would be earmarked and tracked specifically for an HMBL
program within the KF. (Much like HMBL is within BARC itself — except that in
this instance KF provides administrative infrastructure and GIVES additional
financial support to the program instead of takes a cut).
We hope that the HMBL members support this conceptual
vision of a partnership. The concept of
partnering is core to the Kutcher Foundation and I think it would be great for
all of us to do long term good in our community with a baseball oriented
charitable program that we all design expand and build. The Kutcher Foundation
is a partnership vehicle to do that —
not just an end point for the donation itself.
