2021 KUTCHER FOUNDATION YEAR-IN-REVIEW
December 30, 2021
Dear Kutcher Foundation Supporter,
As we move forward to another year, we wanted to take a quick look back at what went on within our foundation during 2021.
Just like in 2020, the Coronavirus Pandemic forced us to cancel The Alumni Golf Classic during the Johns Hopkins Baseball Spring Trip in Florida. We also made the difficult decision to cancel the Annual Parents Weekend Mixer with The Johns Hopkins University Baseball Team, despite the team playing their fall season.
At the very end of 2020 and into the start of 2021, we established The Brent Toms Memorial Fund, which evolved into The Brent Toms Legacy Project. We honored the first recipient of The Brent Toms Baseball Legacy Award and supported operations for the first Brent Toms Memorial Volleyball Tournament. You can learn more about The Brent Toms Legacy Project here: https://kutcherfoundation.org/brent-toms-legacy-project/.
In addition, our annual scholarships were awarded to following recipients:
- Madison Matos (Joppatowne High School) … Col. John F. Kutcher, Sr. Military Service Award
- Dylan Wassif (The John Carroll School) … Larry Hetzel Volleyball Leadership Award
- Chris Benjes … John Simpers Baseball Service Award
Lastly, we held the dedication for Alumni Field at Kutcher Foundation Stadium on the campus of The John Carroll School. To see pictures from the event, click here: https://kutcherfoundation.org/pictures/.
As always, we would like to thank you for your continued support of The Kutcher Foundation. If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to the foundation, please visit https://kutcherfoundation.org/donation/ to learn more. You can designate which program you wish the money is used for when donating, or on a check memo line.
From all of us at The Kutcher Foundation, we wish you a happy and healthy 2022!
